2.1.5 Calibration information for the cameras
For photogrammetric surveys of spatially arranged objects, with inclined exposure directions, and when using focusable metric cameras as well as non-metric cameras, a simultaneous calibration of the interior camera orientation is necessary. Here existing camera data should be introduced into the adjustment with standard deviations according to their accuracies.
The same applies for the camera unknowns e' and dφ, dω, dκ introduced in Section 2.1.2.
As observed unknowns for each camera, one vector e' and the calibration angles dφ, dω, dκ can be carried as well as the camera constant and the principal point.
Preliminary information cannot be considered for additional parameters. It is assumed that the distortions quoted by the manufacturer or determined by test-field calibration have been previously applied to the image coordinates. In this case, only small remaining errors have to be taken into account by the additional parameters.
