2.1.3.2 Datum transformation

The coordinates of the GPS evaluation are primarily geocentric coordinates on the WGS84 Ellipsoid. For application in the bundle adjustment, the GPS-software transforms these coordinates into the system, where also the control points are defined, e.g. UTM. Due to geoid undulations and/or due to the partly not exactly known geoid exchange parameters, this transformation will often by only approximately correct. Therefore BINGO can estimate this transformation optional simultaneously new.

This transformation has seven parameters: three shifts in vector XD, three small rotations Φ, Ω and Κ and in the transformation matrix T as well as the scale s. The user himself can choose the parameters to be used.
