10.2 Elimination of data errors

A satisfactory result is achieved when

• no further gross errors are suspected in the computed residuals,
• the statistical test according to Baarda shows no gross errors,
• the test values during variance-component estimation have reached 1, and the a priori standard deviations of observations do not contradict experience.
