10.2.6 Reactivation of deleted observations

Normally too many measurements are rejected as false during detection of data errors. Therefore, after elimination of all data errors one should check again whether there are any rejected measurements which could be reincorporated in the adjustment. For the photo measurement BINGO carries out these examinations automatically. If necessary, BINGO writes a UNSK statement into the SKIP file. Eventually removed control points can be carried along as check points (CHCK).

The following procedure is recommended for all other observation types:

• The correct adjustment results are written in the ITERA file by including the appropriate parameter.
• All rejected measurements are reactivated.
• A BINGO-run is started with the maximum iteration number assumed as -1 (in the GUI to Zero), so that no adjustment is carried out. The parameter for reading the ITERA file must be set simultaneously in order to ensure that the previously achieved results will be reread as approximations.

During this run the compatibilities between all measurements and the adjusted unknowns are listed as residuals. The reactivated measurements which show no errors during this test may remain active. A further adjustment run then leads to the final result.
