Normally the corrections to the unknowns decrease by about one order of magnitude in each iteration. At the same time, the a posteriori standard deviation of unit weight s0 approaches its final value.
If the corrections added to the unknowns do not reach the predefined limit to end the iterations, further iterations are necessary in order to reach the limit.
