9.2 Workflow
To connect BINGO to the software of various photogrammetric systems, several data conversion utilities are available. A description of these programs is given in the corresponding help files. Nearly all important photogrammetric systems have their own interface for BINGO.
Following is a suggested workflow. Each step is not necessary in all cases.
- Creating a new project directory e.g. under \BingoWork\
- Measuring and storing of the image coordinates of all photos, e.g. using program BingoAAT.
- Transfer of the image measurements into the IMAGE COORDINATE file (e.g. with program TRABI). This file should already be located in the newly created project directory.
- Creation of a control point file and converting into the GEO INPUT file by importing the data with the GEOI editor. The file \Bingo\geoin5.dat serves as sample and can be copied alternatively by means of the BINGO-manager into the project directory under the name geoin.dat.
- Completing the GEO INPUT file using the GEOIN editor. Alternatively another editor can also be used. For this it is then helpful to copy the file \Bingo\geoin5.dat as template into the project directory.
- Creation of a BINGO PROJECT file (optional) from the BINGO-manager
- Start program RELAX to calculate approximations for the orientation data of all photos
- Visual examination of the calculated layout with the graphics programs REPLO or 3dView.
- Starting of the SKIP program, if RELAX has created a file named skip.dat.
- Adjustment with BINGO. Evaluation of the result (see Chapter 10).
- Starting of the SKIP program, if BINGO has created a file named skip.dat.
- Repetition of BINGO and SKIP until the result is satisfactory. Storing of results in the ITERA file. For graphical evaluation of the results, the programs IMPLO, ADPLO, 3dViev, REPLO, ImgView and GPSview are at your disposal.
- Reading the adjusted orientation data and point coordinates from the ITERA file and conversion into the photogrammetric system (e.g. calculation of model orientation with the program BIPEX).
Further processing of results e.g. model evaluation in photogrammetric systems.
