CONS Constants for earth curvature and refraction
Columns | format | contents/explanation |
|---|---|---|
1-4 | A4 | CONS |
6-20 | F15.0 | Earth radius Default : 6 380 000 m |
21-30 | F10.0 | Refraction coefficient Default : k = 0.13 |
Earth radius and refraction coefficient are items which are required for correction of measured zenith distances and photo coordinates.
This input statement is necessary only if the constants of 6 380 000 m for earth radius or 0.13 for the refraction coefficient, which are built into the program are to be changed. Such a change may be necessary if, for example, [dm] or [feet] are used as units of measure instead of metres.
The program suppresses correction of earth curvature and refraction if the earth radius is missing or is less than zero.
