The eccentricity vector e' is defined in the image space. It points from the projection centre at the object side of the photo (Nodal point) towards the GPS-antenna. The values of vector components have to be indicated in the measuring unit of the object space.

For determining the vector components, the antenna is measured exactly in relation to the image plane of the camera. Then the distance from the image frame to the projection centre on the object side has to be added to the component ez. This distance is not identical to the focal length of the camera. For the correct distance, please refer to the camera handbook. So the vector is defined. The accuracy of its components is indicated in the ECES statement.

For several cameras the distance of the exterior projection centre to the sensor plane is indicated in the following chart. Standard-Front-filters have already been considered in these values. Further filters require additional corrections.
