3.2 Content of input data files
This chapter gives a rough overview about the content of the single data input files. A detailed description will follow later (Chapter 4 ff.). All files listed here are formatted ASCII. The following files are the "original" data sources and have to be established by the user.
- IMAGE COORDINATE file: default file name image.dat. Input file for photo coordinates.
- The GEO INPUT file: default file name geoin.dat. Input file containing control points, camera data, geodetic measurements, as well as photogrammetric observations and conditions.
- BINGO PROJECT file: default file name project.dat. This file defines names and directories (if necessary) for files to be used, as well as control information for RELAX, BINGO and SKIP. This file will be created by the graphical user interface (Compare Chapter 6). It can be omitted if only the default values are to be used everywhere.
- GPS/IMU-data files: The file names have to be defined in the GEO INPUT file. Here the GPS and INU data with different structures are provided for the adjustment with BINGO.
The following files are created by the program system BINGO itself. They serve for the communication between the BINGO programs. They are as well input as also output files.
- The ITERA file: default file name itera.dat. Data file for all photo orientations as well as for all point coordinates. This file is of important means. It is created by the program RELAX and contains at that point the initial approximations of photo orientations and point coordinates. BINGO reads these approximations and overwrites the file after the adjustment with the adjusted values.
- SKIP file: default file name skip.dat. This file is created by RELAX as well as by BINGO, when errors in the photo measurements are recognised. It serves for input in the program SKIP.
Since these files are overwritten with each renewed input, an Old file is created first:
old-itera.dat, old-skip.dat.
